My bestie, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Mills, and I spent years saying, “We really need to do a project together!” Apparently, all we needed was a town full of monsters, a questionable amount of magic, and absolutely no adult supervision. And that’s how Arrhythmia, Texas came to be. 😂

Creating this wonderfully weird little town together has been one of the coolest experiences of my author career. Julia is the kind of friend who hears an outrageous idea and says, “Yes—and what if we made it even crazier?” You can imagine how much trouble we get into.

Naturally, we asked T.J. Bell and Melanie James to join us. Why keep all that chaos to ourselves? The rest is history! Together, we’ve filled Arrhythmia with monsters, magic, mischief, and love stories that make us laugh, swoon, and occasionally wonder who let us near a keyboard.

I’m so lucky to work with these talented women. Their creativity, humor, and friendship make this project something special, and sharing it with them has been every bit as wonderful as we hoped. Writing can be a lonely job, so having friends to dream up trouble with—and laugh through it all—is a gift I don’t take for granted. 💕
